Afternoon Update

We are thanking God for answered prayers this afternoon. Mom was able to get her ng tube removed this morning! She cried tears of joy and thanked the doctors and the Lord for her relief. I know many of you have been praying specifically for that today, and we thank you.

The doctors continue to watch her blood levels to determine whether a transfusion is needed. The doctors do not seem overly worried or surprised that her blood levels are low- due to the number of procedures she has had the past 14 days (including 2 major surgeries!).

Mom is sleeping comfortably right now. When she wakes up, she should be able to take a few sips of clear liquid. She has been really looking forward to this. (Well, what she is really looking forward to and wanting is a cinnamon roll!)

We continue to read comments to her as well as people's names who have commented on facebook about her. Thank you for those. She is amazed at the number of people who are lifting her up in prayer. If you have a scripture of encouragement you would like to leave (or a song- she has us sing to her when things are difficult), that would be very encouraging for her as well.

Thank you for checking on her,
Kelly (for all of us)

Sharon, we are praising God with you that the tube is removed. Still praying constantly for complete recovery for you and peaceful for all of you.
"Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning." psalm 30:5
"May the God of Hoe fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hoe by the power of the Holy Spirit." Romans 15:13
and by the way, Micah is doing awesome with his lessons. You will be so proud of him. He cannot wait to read to you. :) I love you, Valerie

Praying for you, so glad that things are looking better. I can't stand it that this is happening to our "Miss Sharon". I know God uses these terrible things to teach us valuable lessons but sometimes I prefer not to learn. Love you all, Cindy Sharp

funny you mention song...today I was thinking I "Whenever it rains, whenever it pours, I will trust you Lord in the light of day, in the dark of niiiiiight I will trust you Lord with all my might!"

I know Kase can belt that one out!! Especially the niiiiight part! :)

Your mom is constantly on my mind and I say many many prayers during the day for her. I just want this to be over SO BAD. And tell her Kanyon is the happiest of anyone that the NG tube is out. He knows how stinky that is!!!! :)

Love to all of y'all...especially your amazing mom!

In times when my health is challenged, I love reciting Psalm 103. The proclamation that I should not forget who God is, and all the benefits that come with knowing Him. He forgives my sins, and he heals my diseases. It fullfils another Psalm that proclaims "The Lord is MY shepherd, I shall not want". Max often said that when you couldn't see God's hand, you could trust His heart. And Matthew confirms it, "I am with you always, till the end of the age". God loves you, has caught every tear, He sings over you like a mother sings over her child, He has good plans for you, He will never forsake you. He turned His face away from His own Son, so He would never have to turn His face away from you. You stand blameless before the throne, made righteous by the blood of the Lamb. Praise the Lord, Miss Sharon, with everything within you praise His holy name. Praise the Lord, and don't forget His benefits. He forgave all of your sins, He heals all your diseases. We're praying for your healing, for God's blessing to be poured out over you. Loving you always, Rod & Judy

Sweet Sharon,
In my prayers for you today, I praise Him for the tube being removed, for the "little" nourishment you are getting, and for the love that surrounds you! Here are two songs that I keep singing in my head that reminds me of you:
No Sweeter Name and O How He Loves Us!
You are constantly in my prayers!
