Day 14

Mom is having a very hard morning. She was in a great deal of pain throughout the night, but they were able to somewhat manage this with medications so that she could sleep. She is in extreme pain this morning and very frustrated to still have her "ninja tube" in her nose (down to her belly). The doctors came in the morning very early talking about a possible need for a blood transfusion. This was the first time we had heard about this possibility. Our specific prayers right now are:

1) That Mom is able to get the ng tube removed today. This is causing her a great deal of pain and anxiety right now. As soon as this is removed, she will be able to eat...which should aid in healing her body.

2) That Mom's hemoglobin levels would increase and she would not need a blood transfusion.

3) That Mom's pain would decrease.

Please keep her in your prayers today,
Kelly (for all of us)

Kelly - Megan just sent me the link to your blog. I have always admired your mother's strength but I am sorry that she is being tested this way. We will keep her and all of you in our prayers. Your family was such a bright spot of sunshine in our lives and you did leave your footprints on our hearts. May God bless each and everyone of you and give you the strength and wisdom that you need. We love you - Nancy O'Gorman

Sweet Kelly. Praying for your mom and your family is a privilege. I pray for peace, strength, and courage for each of you. I pray for complete healing for your mom.
I am so grateful you have your family and friends there to share a meal, a tear, a laugh, and the care of your mother. How blessed you are to be able to all be there together! Thank you, God for that blessing in the midst of this difficult time.
"Because of the Lord's great love we are not consumed, for His compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness. I say to myself, The Lord is my portion; therefore I will wait for Him." Lamentations 3:22-24
Love you and your family! karen

Dearest Kelly, I just received this news and I am deeply sorrowed that your awesome mom is suffering pain and discomfort. I praise God that she has all of you there with her. ..Just one more testimony of her love and faithfulness.
I offer my prayers for peace, comfort & clarity for the doctors treating your mom in these difficult days.

For me, Sharon is, and will always be, the tallest pillar of devotion and excellence that I've ever known. I carry her example wherever I go, wherever I am. I've never told her, but would you please tell her that I said " Thank you" ?

In The Sweet Name of Jesus,
Lisa lopez-Acuna

A good friend once told me, "Prayer is not the preparation for the battle. It is the battle." Many, many are in the battle on your behalf. Praying your specific prayers, as requested. We love you all.

Kelly, your mom has been in our prayers since last week when we heard. I know Zeph 3:17 is special for your babies but I think it is such an encouragement in a time like this too. God is with you. He is mighty to save! He will quiet you with his love. He will rejoice over you with singing.
