Saturday- a better day

Mom had a better day today. It was quiet at the hospital, due to the weekend, so there was much less noise, traffic, rounds of doctors, etc. Because of that, Mom got some good rest. She ate well today and is moving around a little bit better. The nurses moved her to a new room this afternoon because her bed had been hurting her back. Her new room has a different type of bed that should make her more comfortable. It seemed nice to have a new view...and a lot more space in the new room. We had a meeting with the doctors this morning and they were encouraging about Mom's continued progress, though it is very slow.

I read Psalm 27 to Mom today. The last verse is "Wait for the Lord; Be strong and take heart; Wait for the Lord." That is what we are doing right now. The doctors have done what they can and we are waiting for the Lord to heal her. We thank Him for watching over her this week and pray for His continued protection and healing.

We have ridden that hospital roller coaster before, and we know how exhausting it is -- and how it seems like you have been riding for months instead of days. We continue to pray for all of you and thank our Father for being right there with you. Know that we are with you in spirit and in prayer. I will share the info with others and more will join the chorus of prayers for you all. We love you!

I join with you in singing praises for the small victories. I love the verse you quoted from Psalms. It is my favorite and has been my quote for sometime dealing with our issues. It is hard to sit and wait upon the Lord, but that is what He asks of us. Just the reminder that He is doing the healing can be the best medicine there is!
Love you all, and are continue to pray daily.

Wilsons,
You continue to be #1 on our family's prayer list! Your mom planted so many seeds of faith in my kids' hearts, she is forever a part of their and my lives! Please tell her that when I first heard about her illness, the first verse that came to my mind was James 5:16. I pictured your mom as I saw her in front of the kids on a Sunday morning doing the motions for "powerful"and "effective." I took out my Bible and read that verse and the ones that went with it.
James 5:13-16 " Is any one of you in trouble? He should pray. Is anyone happy? Let him sing songs of praise. Is any one of you sick? He should call the elders of the church to pray over him and anoint him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise him up. If he has sinned, he will be forgiven. Therefore confess your sins to each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective."
I have had two dreams about your mom the past week, both beautiful dreams of your mom being at Oak Hills watching musicals that she planted the beginnings of! Give her hugs from Jim and me and tell her that we love her dearly! I am so wanting to see her when she is well enough for company.! Until then, I will pray constantly for our Lord's complete healing of that yucky infection and for her strength to return quickly! Let me know if we can do anything!!
