We hope you all had a good Easter weekend! We had such a wonderful Easter day. Anna Lee got to wear her new dress and little white shoes to church this morning, and the Easter bunny came to see her this afternoon. Here are a few pictures from the day. Happy Easter, everyone!
I grabbed my phone and caught this picture this morning after I was (again) unable to find Anna Lee. Recently, she has discovered her love for being in our shower. I find her there at least once each day- door closed, water off, clothes on. If you try to open the door to let her out, she just closes it. This morning, she had taken several of my necklaces in with her, and was "trying them on"- sometimes I hear her get in and start "singing." I don't know what it is about it, but she sure does love it!
For those of you who don't know, Anna Lee has a lot of trouble eating. Well, not everything...just everything except crackers. She has continued to eat babyfood, because the texture (we think) of all table foods makes her throw up. The doctor has told me to continue offering table foods to her, but honestly, it is not something I enjoy. Who wants to clean up throw up at every meal??? As Anna Lee has continued to get older, I have gotten a little worried that I was going to be sending her to kindergarten with jars of baby food. I was just picturing her having to ask her teachers to open her mixed vegetables and banana strawberry jars.
Well, we have made a breakthrough this week!!! Anna Lee successfully tried and ate a carrot and an apple!!!!! It seems so silly to be excited about this, but I know we are both tired of baby food! This is really the first time she has ever been able to eat any food that was not pureed or a cracker! Here is a picture of her eating the carrot, and then recieving the huge amount of praise after she finished it. It was a party in the kitchen!!!
On a completely different note, the weather has been so nice lately, we have been taking long walks to different parks each day. Her favorite thing is the swings- she laughs so hard each time I push her. I loved this shot I caught of her on the swing the other day. She is so happy!
So after a full week of Anna Lee being sick, she was happy and healthy on Friday. We had a fun lunch with our friend Rachel, and got to spend some time with Anna Lee's cousins Saturday morning. By Saturday afternoon, her fever was back up to 103, and it didn't want to go away---so today we headed back to the doctor. Poor baby had a completely new illness! From one yucky thing to another! We got some good medicines, so hopefully she will be feeling better soon. I thought these pictures clearly described our morning...
